At Willow Park School, sport is part of everyday life. The pupils already had a ball wall, but it was plain and didn’t add much colour or energy. SchoolsGrass were asked to give it a lift, and the result is something eye-catching and useful. The wall has been covered in artificial grass, which straight away softens the look and makes it feel fresh.
Built into the grass are circle targets in different sizes, cut in white and blue. The choice of colours wasn’t random - they match the school’s own colours, which makes the design feel personal and unique to Willow Park. The targets give the children something clear to aim for.
Bigger circles are great for younger kids or casual games, while the smaller ones make things more challenging. It means everyone can use the wall in a way that suits them. Some kick footballs, others practise throwing, and plenty just use it for quick games at break time.
