The school in Castlebar has seen a big change to its yard. What was once plain and dull has been turned into a bright, functional pitch that looks great and works even better. SchoolsGrass carried out the installation, and the result is a space that pupils are already making the most of. The pitch is finished in fresh green artificial grass, with sharp white line markings cut neatly into the surface. These give the area a clear shape and structure, making it ideal for matches, PE and free play. It looks the part and is built to handle daily use. A clever part of the design is the inclusion of six goal markings. This allows the pitch to be flexible. It can be used as one large playing area, or quickly split into two smaller games so more pupils can get involved at once. That adaptability is a big plus for busy schools where outdoor space has to work hard.
The transformation didn’t stop with the main pitch. Artificial grass was also added around the school grounds. These extra sections help tie everything together, giving the campus a cleaner and more polished look. The grounds feel brighter, tidier and more welcoming overall.
