At Gaelscoil Bantry, the school wanted to make better use of their yard by adding a safe, all-weather surface for games and PE. SchoolsGrass installed a new artificial grass pitch that immediately lifted the space and gave pupils a proper area to play. The surface is level, soft underfoot and tough enough to handle daily use. Pupils can run, kick a ball, or sprint without worrying about uneven ground. It’s consistent, reliable, and ready to use no matter the season. To bring more structure, the pitch includes a clear halfway line in bright yellow. It’s simple but effective, helping to mark out sides for matches and giving games more shape. Alongside that, goal posts were added so children have a defined target for football and other activities. These small touches make a big difference to how the space is used.
For teachers, the upgrade means less preparation and more flexibility. The pitch is ready for PE lessons, sports drills, or just free play at break times. No need for cones or chalk - the markings and goals are already there. It also gives staff peace of mind, knowing the surface is safe, durable, and easy to maintain. What really stands out is how much the space has changed in feel.
